This major economic tool in the capital of Catalonia plays a leading role in Europe and in the world. It hosts over 70 exhibitions. Since 1995 Barcelona was entrusted with the General Secretariat of the Mediterranean Trade Fairs Association (MTFA) which is aimed at developing the Mediterranean Region. Barcelona is represented in UFI, EMECA and AFE (Spanish Trade Fairs Association). |

Montjuïc, the splendid historical site, constantly renovated, occupies 250,000 sqm and houses the Palau de Congressos, a flexible ensemble that adapts to the needs of all kinds of exhibits. Fira de Barcelona's great expansion has been consolidated with the opening of the Gran Via installations, only 2.5 kms on the way to the airport from the current installations and with its own Convention Centre.
